What Kind of Psychic?

My general rule for dealing with "psychics" is this: Be wary of those who call themselves psychic.

Why? That is answered easily by looking at the definition of the word.

"Psychic"- A person sensitive to things beyond the average range of perception.

That is a pretty vague statement, and if all the person can tell you about their ability is that it is a psychic one.... well they might not be what they claim. There are as of now, 5 broadly classified types of psychic abilities: Clairaudience, Clairvoyance, Precognitive dreamer, Intuitive, and Empathic. Each ability works in its own different way and have their own "area of expertise". I will be defining each one and showing how they all differ and benefit us in my upcoming blogs, so stay tuned.

  1. Thanks for writing about psychics. Some, I do believe have ability in many areas, but a few are very concentrated. I know my abilities are psychometry predominantly, but I also have precognitive dreams associated with large disasters and especially airplane/helicopter crashes. Although I have used my ability on ghost hunts, I do it discretely. I count on my ability to touch objects and buildings to tell me where they are likely to be having haunting problems and to concentrate my attention on a certain area that feels promising. I would never ever use my readings as proof. I still want the same hard data everyone else wants. Until we can more accurately test abilities and learn to control them, they're still in a very adolescent phase as far as most psychic's abilities to direct and control input and most especially interpretation which is probably 90% of the read and highly critical. Can't wait to read more!
